A partnership between protective equipment provider Safariland and Motorola aims to add another layer of protection for law enforcement officers in the field.
The companies banded together to create a new wearable technology that can deliver real time alerts to agencies already using Motorola radios. In layman’s terms, a Safariland holster is equipped with a bluetooth senor that can alert a command center when a firearm is drawn. This allows the commands center to immediately send backup in crisis situations. The technology also enable the body-worn camera that then becomes the eyes and ears of the dispatcher.
