Technology is transforming the way we thing of everything, including clothing. Now comes word of a new partnership between tech expert Zansors and uniform manufacturer Blauer that seeks to advance the utility of gear used by law enforcement, first responders and the military.
The two companies hope to produce a line of fabrics that can capture biometric data like breathing or motion. Equipped with sensors, the fabrics will also provide information on the wearer’s location, and and could be used to detect the presence of of chemical gases.
Still in development, the new fabrics could lead to data-rich uniforms far beyond current offerings. We’ll keep you posted.
